Addison varsity softball lost both games to Napoleon. Katherine Chinavare pitched the first game giving up 18 runs on 16 hits, walking 4.

Napoleon 17     Addison 2

Brooke Irwin pitched the second game giving up 5 runs, 4 hits, walking 4 in 1 2/3 innings. Michaela Gahn game in relief giving up 10 runs on 4 hits, striking out 2 and walking 6. Katherine Chinavare had 1 RBI single.

May 18

Grass Lake 18   Addison 3

Addison lost both games to Grass Lake. Katherine Chinavare pitched in the first game giving up 13 runs on 11 hits, striking out 1 and walking 7. Christina Zeppa had 3 hits including a double, scoring once and 1 RBI. Bethany Valdez had 2 RBIs double.

Grass Lake 13   Addison 5

Bethany Valdez got the loss giving up 4 runs, 2 hits, and 4 walks. Michaela Gahn came in relief in the second inning giving up 8 runs, 5 hits and 4 walks. Brooke Irwin came in relief in the second inning finishing the game giving up 3 runs on 8 hits. Christian Zeppa hit a triple. Bethany Valdez hit a double.

May 19

Addison 7         Reading 2

Addison 15                   Reading 0

Addison had to make up a rainout game against Reading Friday night. Bethany Valdez got the win pitching 3 1/3 innings giving up no runs on 3 hits, striking out 4. Katherine Chinavare came in relief pitching 3 2/3 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits, striking out 4 and walking 1. Kaylee Hanna hit a double. Bethany Valdez hit a double and a homerun with 2 RBIs and scored a run. Michaela Gahn had 2 hits.

May 20

Addison 16                   Hillsdale 4

Columbia Central 9        Addison 6

Addison took second at the Al Glick Classic Tournament winning 2 out of 3 games. In the first game Addison beat Reading 15 to 0 in three innings on a walk off grand slam homerun by Tara Hawes who also scored 3 runs. Katherine Chinavare pitched giving up 1 hit, striking out 1 and walking 1. Christina Zeppa had 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Katherine Chinavare had 2 hits. Bethany Valdez had 2 doubles and a triple scored twice and 1 RBI. Brooke Irwin hit 2 doubles and an RBI.

Baseball

May 15

Napoleon 8                   Addison 3

Hunter Dart and Ethan Boring each had 2 hits. Nathan McLouth had a double. Kayden Heckaman and Garrett Bernath each had a hit and a stolen base.

Napoleon 17     Addison 4

Addison made 7 errors on a day which accounted for 10 runs, and four of these in the sixth inning. Nathan McLouth, Bowen Clingenpeel each had a hit and scored a run. Kayden Heckaman had 2 hits including a double and scored a run. Drew Rokita took the loss on the mound.

May 19

Grass Lake 7     Addison 2

Hunter Dart had a double and scored twice. Drew Rokita pitched five innings in this continuation game and had 6 strike outs.

Grass Lake       2         Addison 0

Addison committed 3 errors in the first inning which led to 2 unearned runs. Hunter Dart pitched five innings without allowing an earned run. Ethan Boring led the Panthers in hitting. Caleb Gramm and Kayden Heckaman each had an opposite field single.

May 20

Addison 6         Manchester 2

Nathan McLouth got the win against Manchester striking out 5. Ethan Boring led the Panthers with 3 hits including a triple. Bowen Clingenpeel, Brendan Nicholl and Kayden Heckaman each had a hit, run scored and RBI.

Addison 12                   Diamond Classic 11

Freshman Caden Karabetsos got his first win on the mound. He had 3 strikeouts. Ethan and Bowen Clingenpeel each had 2 hits and scored 3 times. Ben Skinner and Karabetsos both had 2 hits.

Track

Finished in 1st place

The Addison Panther boys track team ran against East Jackson in their final conference meet of the season. The Panthers revealed over the Trojans with a final score of 92-42. This gives Addison a conference record of 6-1.

Finished in 4th place

The Addison Panther boys track team competed at the regional track meet May 20 at Hillsdale College. The Panther’s came away with a fourth place finish out of 14 teams. The Panthers were led by Zach Morse. Zach qualified in the 1600 meter finishing second and running a 4:42:61. Then Zach came back to finish second in the 3200 meter run and qualify for state by running 10:22:35. Drew Rokita had a big jump 21’2’5” which earned him first place and a ticket to the state meet. Earlier this year Donovan was all state in football, qualified for the state wrestling meet and this weekend completed the trifecta by qualifying for the State Track and Field finals by throwing 129’8” in the discus. Josh Brown, Travis Whitaker, Caleb Gramm and Drew Rokita qualified for state in the 4 x 200. Josh Brown, Drew Rokita, Dakota Knieper and Caleb Gramm also qualified for state in the 4 x 100. Dakota Knieper qualified in the 400 meter dash for state.

Golf

May 17

Finished in 4th place

The Addison golf team competed in the Cascades Conference Jamboree at Lake LeAnn Golf Course Par 35. The Panthers posted a team score of 18 placing 4th in the seven team conference. The following golfers scored for Addison. Shawn Bingman 43, Rocky Johnson 44, Dylan Tuck 47 and Nick Justus 48. Napoleon won the event with a team score of 160.

May 18

Finished in 10th place

The Addison golf team competed in the Grass Lake Invitational at Hills’ Heart of the Lakes Golf Course. The Panthers posted a team score of 395. Scores for Addison were as follows, Dylan Tuck 93, Shawn Bingman 95, Rocky Johnson 100, and Cole Bellingar 107. Hanover-Horton with the event with a team score of 306.

May 19

Lenawee Christian 181               Addison 196

The Addison golf team competed in a dual match against Lenawee Christian at Wolf Creek Golf Course par 35. Dylan Tuck led Addison with a 40. Rocky Johnson followed with a 45. Nick Justus and Cole Bellingar rounded out the scoring with a 53 and 58 respectively.
