Jessica Bailey and her therapy dog, Belle.
Jackson School of the Arts is celebrating March Reading Month with a free family event, ART DOG!
Residents are invited to attend as Belle, a therapy dog from Therapy Dogs International and her owner, Jessica Bailey will be on hand. Bailey will be reading from the book Art Dog by Thacher Hurd.
Guests will be able to do a free art project and stroll through the mini museum featuring dogs in art.
The event will be held March 12, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Officials from the Cascades Humane Society will also be on hand with dogs available for adoption. A doggie bag lunch that includes a hot dog, chips and drink will be available for a small fee.
“We are ready for a barkin’ good time reading, creating art and spending the afternoon with families inspired by our four legged friends,” said Assistant Director Amy Fracker.
