Onsted Kiwanis celebrates 65th anniversary & Brooklyn Kiwanis flag project

To help accomplish this, the Onsted club holds fundraisers to provide scholarships to Onsted students and community members, send students to Youth in Government, provide uniforms and charter fees for Girl and Boy Scouts, provide diapers, coats and socks to needy students, and uniforms to sports teams and more. Meetings are held every Wednesday morning, 7 a.m., at Cambridge Township Hall. New members are always welcome.

Members of the Brooklyn Kiwanis are teaming up with area scouts in participating in a flag project this year. For a small fee, participants in the Brooklyn area can have a flag displayed on their property during Armed Forces Day through Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day Sept. 11 and Veterans Day.
