Pullers come to the Irish Hills on May 18-19
Horsepower and the roar of some of the baddest trucks and tractors in the country will fill the air this summer. The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League is bringing the best pulling vehicles in the nation to Michigan International Speedway, say officials.
The Watson Diesel Michigan Nationals Truck and Tractor Pull is presented by Slusarski Excavating & Paving. It all happens May 18 and 19.
The event will feature four sessions over two days, including eight vehicle classes, a packed vendor midway, show-n-shine and dyno competition.
“This event has been a dream of mine from the day we started our business,” said Kyle Watson, Watson Diesel president. “After three long years of planning, I am excited to bring the inaugural large-scale truck and tractor pulling event to the Great Lakes state. We are proud to team up with MIS and Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League to bring fans and pullers in from all over the Midwest for a motorsports packed weekend they won’t forget!”
The fans will see two full days of pulling on the newly created track built specifically for the event in the MISCAMPING.com Graves Campground. The first session will begin at noon on Friday and Saturday. Fans can come back for the second session both days beginning at 7 p.m.
Limited Pro Stock Diesel Trucks (3.0), Super Farm Tractors, Pro Stock Diesel Truck (3.6), Unlimited Super Stock Tractors, Super Stock Diesel Trucks, Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Hot Rod Semi’s and Mini Rod Tractors will all be in action. Each class will pull in two sessions during the weekend.
“We are excited to bring the Watson Diesel Michigan Nationals Truck and Tractor Pulls to MIS this year,” MIS President Rick Brenner. “This is another great event we can bring to MIS for our community to enjoy.”
Tickets and camping can be purchased by calling 888-905-7223 or online at www.mispeedway.com.
The vendor midway will be open all weekend. Fans will have a chance to check out the Dyno Competition, purchase merchandise and taste the food from the concession stands. On Saturday fans can walk through the Show-N-Shine display and look at all the model trucks on display. Kids can take part in the kiddie pedal pull on Saturday.
